About Us
The United Quilt Guild was formed in 1990 and presented our first quilt show in 2001. We are a chapter member of the Northeast Ohio Regional Quilt Council (NEORQC). We host workshops with local and national quilting teachers which are open to all members. Come join the fun!
ATTEND A GUILD MEETING
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at the FOE #316 (Salem Eagles), 1884 N Ellsworth Ave, Salem, Ohio 44460
JOIN Our GUILD
We welcome quilters of all levels to attend our meetings and join our organization. Membership dues are $20 a year. We look forward to meeting you!
LEARN WITH US
Our guild hosts annual special events like workshops with local and national quilting teachers, a Spring Luncheon, a Challenge Night, and our Quilt Show.
Supporting Our Neighbors
We make quilts for donation to local hospitals, cancer centers and the Veterans Administration, as well as pillow cases for the Rescue Mission, Children Hospital. We have also donated Christmas stockings that are filled with goodies for underprivileged children in our area.
Some organizations we have served or donated: Akron Children’s Hospital, Blue Coats, Cancer unit at Salem Regions Community Hospital, Catholic Charites/Christina House Shelter, Humane Society and Angel for Animals, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Sophia Women Center, Veteran’s organization and individuals, Joni Abdu, Salem Police K-9, Walnut Grove Playground, RSVP, Brightside Project and Ember Project.
Our Impact
Our members give back to our community with both monetary donations from quilt show profits and physical donations of handmade quilts, pillowcases, and holiday stockings to these deserving organizations:
