United Quilt Guild was organized in 1990. We are a chapter member of NQA (National Quilters Association). We have approximately 85 members. Our membership dues are $20 a year.
Every year we make quilts for donation to local hospitals and the Veterans Administration. We make Christmas stockings that are filled with goodies for underpriviledged children in the area. In addition we make and donate a quilt to be raffled off as a fundraiser for the United School Scholarship. We hold workshops with local and national quilting teachers which are available to all members.
In April, we hold our Spring Luncheon which generally includes a workshop the previous day and a speaker at the luncheon. Our Challenge Night, which is open to the public, is held in June.
